Danielle Arias Bio

Founder & Owner, Preparedness Partners Training and Consulting

Danielle Arias is a career educator and emergency management professional dedicated to helping schools and organizations move from high-level safety theory to practical, real-world readiness.  With 25 years of experience in the classroom and as a school leader, Danielle believes that effective preparedness is built together and must be differentiated, achievable, manageable, and sustainable.

Danielle earned a Master of Science in Disaster and Emergency Management from Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was honored with the Disaster and Emergency Management Service Award. She also holds a New Jersey Standard Supervisor Certificate, further strengthening her expertise in educational leadership and school safety. Danielle has completed more than 32 FEMA emergency management certifications, strengthening her knowledge across preparedness, prevention, protection, mitigation,  response, and recovery.  As an ALICE Trainer and a trusted member of School Safety and Threat Assessment teams, Danielle has spent years collaborating with schools to facilitate drills, active threat trainings, and tabletop exercises.

Danielle’s work is grounded in collaboration and lived experience. As a published researcher and lifelong educator, she combines academic expertise with a practical understanding of how a school operates. During her tenure as President of the teachers' union in her school district, Danielle represented over 415 members, navigating the intersection of state compliance, district leadership,  board relations, community engagement, and crisis planning. From securing grants for student "go-bags" to managing on-site vaccination clinics and drafting pandemic Continuity of Operations plans, her work is characterized by a deep commitment to the safety and social-emotional well-being of the entire community.

Beyond high-level strategy, Danielle is focused on the everyday details that make a difference. She spends time in actual classrooms, helping educators look at their spaces with fresh eyes to find simple, smart ways to make their rooms safer while respecting the daily constraints they face. She has created clear, easy-to-follow emergency plans and safety guides for schools and community groups, ensuring that every plan is as practical as it is thorough. At Preparedness Partners, Danielle’s mission is to help organizations build resilient environments where safety feels seamless, fear is replaced by confidence, and every student and staff member feels empowered.
